Polyester foam

Polyester foam is an open-cell polyurethane foam that is produced from an esterification polymerisation. Polyester foam is more flexible and softer than polyether foam.  Using polyester foam in sound insulation achieves very good results. The polyester foams supplied are flameproof and are especially used to cover air treatment installations, and often used as a sound insulator in engineering, especially in compressors. Foams with high densities are often used in flight cases for measurement equipment, cameras and musical instruments.

Because of its excellent sound absorbing qualities polyester foam is used in professional sound recording studios that are insulated all around with this foam like a sort of floating room.
